Mount Morgan State High School

This two-storey brick building was opened in 1908 at cost of 3868 pounds ($7736) as a Technical College.

It opened as a high school on 12 February 1912 with Mr H Tomkys as the first principal, with an enrolment of 127 pupils – 72 boys and 55 girls.

It was Queensland's first high school.

Technical College classes continued until 1964.
